I am the owner and CEO for Simpson and Associates, INC. We are a General Contracting firm located in North Suburban Chicago that has been providing quality building and renovation services for over 30 years. A few years ago, I was approached by a client and their Architect to negotiate a contract for the construction of a custom designed home. This was at a time when the construction industry was beginning to decline and I felt fortunate to land such a contract at this time. I was hesitant to hire more employees and beef up my staff for this project, as I felt the potential work load beyond this project would not support such as business decision. I made the decision to subcontract out most of the work, and play the role of Construction Manager. After doing some research, I came in contact with Greg Kawula of MG Bros. Construction, INC. Greg showed great interest in the project. He followed up with me, meeting me at a couple of his job sites and showing me his companies workmanship. After some discussion, I was comfortable enough to enter into a contract of approximately $500,000.00 for him to handle the lion share of the house construction. He and his crews provided the Demolition, Material coordination and supply, Excavation and Concrete, Rough Frame up, Roofing, Exterior trim pkg., and Interior trim work, and more. Each phase was well managed and completed in a timely manner, with exceptional skill. I was particularly impressed during the Rough Frame as Greg was on the job daily to read the plans carefully and direct his men in what proved to be a some what challenging framing project. Greg and MG Bros. had all the necessary man power and skill level to provide a high quality product. Greg has quality personal skills to go along with his vast construction knowledge. He was always pleasant and eager to please those he was working for. There were never any haggles or arguments about what his responsibilities were and his overall performance as a Home Builder was exceptional. Over the past couple of years, I have remained in touch with Greg and he has subcontracted other projects with me. With the Construction Industry finally showing new life, I am hoping to land more contracts in the near future and I will not hesitate to seek MG Bros. services.
Two years after my home was completely remodeled, inside and out, and another floor was added, I remain delighted with the work done by MG Bros. Though it is snowing inside, I am warm and cozy. When it rains, widows, doors, and roof were perfectly installed, and I have no leaks. Because of their skill and their use of quality materials, everything is wearing beautifully, and my house looks like I just moved in. I am so pleased with MG Bros., and every day I love being in my house. I also recommended them to friends who are as delighted as I, and I know they, too, will be recommending MG Bros. to their friends.
MG Bros. Construction was hired to build the sun room addition to our home. Greg Kawula, owner, was hired because he was on time for the first appointment, helped us make wise decisions and made our beautiful sun room affordable! All the workers involved in building our additions were skilled craftsmen, their work was top-quality. Materials used in the addition were quality as well. Our needs were met and the room is a great addition to our home. Greg and MG Bros. Construction has our vote of confidence; we wouldn't call anyone else!
